Σε πείσμα των καιρών, βλέπε πανδημία του κορονοϊού, η μουσική γιορτάζει ανακοινώνοντας τις φετινές υποψηφιότητες των MTV Video Music Awards!

Ακριβώς ένα μήνα πριν την τελετή απονομής των βραβείων του MTV, ανακοινώθηκαν οι καλλιτέχνες και τα τραγούδια που διαμόρφωσαν το μουσικό τοπίο για φέτος με την Ariana Grande και τη Lady Gaga να οδηγούν την κούρσα με εννέα υποψηφιότητες η καθεμία.
Τις δυο ποπ σταρ ακολουθούν οι Billie Eilish και The Weeknd συγκεντρώνοντας από έξι υποψηφιότητες, ενώ πιο πίσω συναντάμε την Taylor Swift με πέντε υποψηφιότητες.
Αξίζει να σημειωθεί, ότι λόγω των ιδιαίτερων συνθηκών της κοινωνικής αποστασιοποίησης που έχει δημιουργήσει η πανδημία, φέτος προστίθενται και δυο καινούριες κατηγορίες βραβείων, «Best Video From Home» και «Best Quarantine Performance».
Η απονομή των βραβείων θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Κυριακή 30 Αυγούστου στο Barclays Center στο Μπρούκλιν με τη λήψη όλων των απαραίτητων μέτρων ασφαλείας, εξετάζοντας ωστόσο μέχρι και την απουσία κοινού.
Μάλιστα αυτή θα είναι η πρώτη εκδήλωση που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο συγκεκριμένο χώρο μετά το lockdown που προκάλεσε ο φονικός ιός.
Υπενθυμίζουμε ότι το 2019 τα βραβεία φιλοξενήθηκαν στο Νιούαρκ του Νιού Τζέρσεϊ και το 2018 πραγματοποιήθηκαν στο ιστορικό «Radio City Music Hall» της Νέας Υόρκης.
